This is essentially a procedure which makes the stomach smaller and allows food to bypass a section of the small intestine. The result is that the individual will feel fuller with less amount of food intake. Bypassing a section of the small intestine also means that the body will absorb less calories that, when added up, could lead to excessive weight gain.
